Northern Areas or North Pakistan attracts local tourists & international tourist every year. Many beautiful valleys, natural lakes and highest peaks of Northern Pakistan are still unexplored or very less explored, thus making it an exotic destination for the tourists.

Each valley in entire Northern Pakistan has its own cultural, geographical and climatic behaviors. The people of these regions have their own customs and traditions with typical costumes, folk dances, music and sports like Polo and Buzkashi. It also attracts the national and international tourists to an unforgettable experience of this heaven on earth. Here we have 14 peaks touching 8,000 meters worlds 2nd and 9th highest peaks like K2 & Nangaparbat are also located here, and due to this reason, these areas are also known as the Roof of the World. Longest glaciers out of the Polar Region like Baltoro, Biafo & Batura glaciers are located here. Lakes like Rush Lake, Karambar Lake & Sheosar Lake are parched at the altitude above 4000 meters.

For Trekkers, Northern Areas are offering treks from Easy to the Toughest levels, many of which are unspoiled and a daring challenge for the Trekkers.

For excursion tourists’ Northern areas have variety of scenic tourists’ spots which are breathtaking and heart capturing. Among these most popular destinations are Hunza, Attabad Lake, Khunjrab Pass, Skardu, Khaplu, Shigar, Kailash, Swat, Kaghan, Azad Kashmir & Chitral, which are attracting loads of tourists around the world.

K-2 Gondogoro la trek gives one of the greatest and loveliest mountain panoramas on earth. On this trek there are four peaks above 8000 meters are nestled beside hundreds of peaks of varying altitude and beauty. The scenery here truly cannot be matched anywhere else in the world. By a spectacular flight or drive along the KKH from Islamabad we will reach Skardu, from where a seven hours jeep drive takes to Askoli. For next two weeks onward trek over the panoramic Gondogoro La (5850m) to Hushe village. Optional rest days at Concordia, the meeting point of Baltoro, Goodwin Austin and Vigin Glaciers, will take us in close contact to great peaks including K-2, Broad Peak Gasherbrum II & I. The climax of the trek is the crossing of the Gondogoro La to enter the Hushe valley to take the return air/road journey to Islamabad. With the logistic support of Balti porters the trek becomes a mixture of nature and cultural splendors. For a magical experience lets do this trek.

<p>Depending upon the flight time guest will be welcomed by the staff members of Rovers Cluster. All the guests will be taken to hotel. If the guest will be arriving on early morning flights then they will be taken on half day city tour of Islamabad. If the guests will be arriving on the late evening or night flights will be given time to rest.</p>

<p>Today after having our breakfast at around 07:00 AM, we will check-out from the hotel and will go to Islamabad International Airport to get the flight to Skardu. Flight to Skardu will be an exciting experience of the lifetime. We will fly through lush green Kaghan Valley, beautiful Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Babusar Top & later will enter into Chilas Valley, where the total vista will be changed to rocky and rugged mountains & later flight will take a turn towards Nangaparbat (7th highest mountain of the world), here total panorama will turn white. From here after crossing lush green Deosai Plains our flight will land at Skardu Airport along the mighty river Indus and among the rocky mountains. From here we will go to our hotel & after hotel check-in we will have our lunch & rest. In the evening we will move out to visit Upper Kachura Lake & after visiting Upper Kachura Lake we will come back to hotel & spend our rest of the time on the Lower Kachura Lake in front of our hotel. Dinner will be served at around 08:00 PM </p><p></p><p>Altitude Gain: 2010 meters </p><p></p>

<p>Today we will first summit our documents for trekking permit which will take at least 24 hours for clearance. In the meantime, we will visit Cold Desert of Katpanah, Katpanah Lake & Khurpocho Fort. Will have our lunch in some local restaurant in Skardu & in the evening we will come back to hotel where we will have some rest before having dinner at around 08:00 PM.</p><p></p><p>Altitude Gain: 0 meters</p><p></p>

<p>Today while our staff will be collecting trekking permit, we will take our guests to the world second highest plateau named Deosai, which is located at the altitude of 4114 m. Deosai means “ The Land of Giants” is the home of Himalayan Brown Bears & Golden Marmots & the flowers that grow here are very colorful. We will have our lunch at a campsite in Deosai & later will explore Deosai National till Sheosar Lake. On the way back to Skardu we will make a stopover at Sadpara Lake. After visiting Sadpara Lake we will come back to our hotel in Skardu. Dinner will be served at around 08:00 PM.</p><p></p><p>Altitude Gain: 1614 meters</p><p></p>

<p>This will be the start of our tour of K2 Base Camp. We will drive for 6 to 7 hours by Jeep to Askole. Askole is the last village before starting the K2 trek. Jeep trek to Askole is rough & thrilling. Overnight stay in tents at Askole.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 545 meters (Jeep)</p><p>Distance: 130 kms</p><p>Drive time: 6-7 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>From Askole our first day of trekking will start. After One & half hours of trekking we will cross a small suspension bridge on Braldu River we will came across the Biafo Glacier, and continue walking towards Korofong. After 2 to 3 hours of trekking from Askole we will reach Korofong, where we will have our lunch. After we will continue walking for another 2 to 3 hours and reach Jhola campsite on the confluence of Braldu River & Domordo River. After reaching Jhola we will pitch our tents for overnight stay.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 114 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 20 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 6 to 8 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>On the second day of our trek from Jhola campsite, we will continue walking along Braldu River. After 3 to 4 hours of trekking we will reach Bardumal campsite, where we will have our lunch. After lunch we will continue trekking on a trail climbing to a Vantage Point at Paiyu, offering the view of the mouth of Baltoro Glacier. Here we will pitch our tents and stay overnight at Paiyu campsite.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 224 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 21 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 7 to 8 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>The most entertaining part of the trip as the staff members serve you with local foods and Karakorum Goat meat. All of the day will be a fun. </p>

<p>Today we will start trekking on Baltoro glacier, which will be an exciting for less experienced trekkers. After about 2 hours of trekking, the path divides at the snout of Baltoro glacier where the left branch goes to the Base Camp of Trango Tower and the Sarpo Lago pass,Paiyu Peak, Chorichi and Uli Biaho and right goes to Masherbrum Peak and straight goes towards Concordia. Here we will stay overnight in tents.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 173 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 15 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 8 to 10 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>This will be one of the most interesting part of our trip since we have to walk on steep and zig zag paths. On the way, we can see the eye catching and unique ice cubes and amazing view of Gaint Mountains of Karakorum. It will be 7 to 8 hours trekking before finally pitch our tents for overnight stay at Goro. </p><p>Altitude Gain: 694 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 18 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 9 to 10 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>After having 5 to 6 hours of trekking we will reach Concordia. Trek to Concordia will have some difficult parts specially when we have to cross some crevasses. Concordia is the meeting point of Godwin Austin, Baltoro & Vigne glaciers. This place we first discovered by a French explorer Martin Conway in 1892 & has given this place the name of Concordia based on Palace-de-la-Concordia in Paris. Here we will have our overnight in tents.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 350 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 12 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 5 to 6 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>This will be the day where the group members may either sit outside their tents enjoy the clear views of K2, Broad Peak, Geshabrum VI, Geshabrum V, Mitre, Crystal Peak, Marbel Peak & Baltoro Kangri or may hike upto K-2 base camp to enjoy a free day at this legendary place. While hiking towards K2 Base Camp we cross the base camp of Broad Peak.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 550 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 24 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 10 to 12 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>Free day to rest and enjoy Concordia</p>

<p>Today we will leave Concordia campsite and start trekking on Vigne Glacier. After 5 to 6 hours of strenuous trekking on the rugged ice, we will reach Ali Camp which was named after a porter who was the first porter to cross Gondogoro La Pass. Here we will pitch our tents and stay overnight.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 400 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 13 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 6 to 7 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>Today we shall start very early at around 02:00 am in the morning and trek up to the Gondogoro Pass (5560M). On some slopes and crevasse prone areas we are required to be roped up. We cross the pass at 5650m above sea level and descend to the campsite of Kheuspang. Dinner and overnight in tents at 4680m above sea level.</p><p>Altitude Gain: 880 meters (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 17 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 12 to 15 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>Today we will continue descending to Dalsangpa campsite. Dalsangpa means field of flowers. Masherbrum peaks and glacier are visible from this campsite. Dinner and overnight in tents at 4200m above sea level.</p><p>Altitude Gain: ( -560 meters) (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 7 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 4 to 5 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>Today will be the last day of our long trekking. We will cross the last portion of the glacier and reach Ghondoghoro Baikh. From here the trek will be easy. We will descend to Saistcho, a campsite along river bank under the shadows of trees. Later proceed to Hushe village at the head of the jeep road. The campsite has a clear water spring surrounded by green fields. </p><p>Altitude Gain: ( -1152 meters) (Trek)</p><p>Distance: 10 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 4 to 5 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>Today after 11 days of trekking we will get on the jeeps and move towards Skardu. It will take 6 to 7 hours drive to reach Skardu. Overnight stay in Skardu.</p><p>Altitude Gain: ( -548 meters) (Jeep)</p><p>Distance: 177 kms.</p><p>Trekking Time: 6 to 7 Hours</p><p></p>

<p>After having our breakfast, we will leave our hotel and reach Skardu Airport to gate the flight to Islamabad Airport. Flight will take one (1) hour to reach Islamabad. From Islamabad Airport we will go to our hotel, where after having lunch & hotel check-in we will go to our rooms to take rest.</p><p>Dinner will be served at around 08:00 PM.</p><p></p>

<p>Today after having breakfast at around 08:00 AM, we will move out for the City Tour of Islamabad. Our first stopover will be Shakarparyan. Shakarparyan was once the view point of Islamabad, here many famous world leaders have planted trees. From here our next stopover will be Pakistan National Monument which the symbol of Pakistani National Solidarity, here we will also visit a History Museum where the historical events of Pakistan History are shown in form of sculptures. From here we will go to a local restaurant to have our lunch. After lunch, our next stopover will be centuries old Buddhist Caves, which were once used for meditation by the Buddhist Monks & later by Hindu Sadhus, until the creation of Pakistan. From here we will go to Pir Sohawa, which is the highest point of Islamabad. Pir Sohawa is a beautiful view point covered by Pine Forests and provides best views of Islamabad city night skyline views. Here we will have our dinner before coming back to hotel</p>

<p>Depending upon the flight time we will drop the guests to Islamabad International Airport. Guest who will have early morning flights will be dropped to airport accordingly. For the guest who will have late evening or night flight will be offered half day city tour before dropping them to Islamabad International Airport. </p>
